Privacy Policy

GetOrForget (getorforget.com) is an independent product-review website. We keep things simple: we don't ask for your personal information, and we collect as little data as possible.

What we collect

Nothing you type. The site has no accounts, no sign-up forms, no comment boxes and no newsletter. We never ask for your name, email address or payment details.
Standard server logs. Like nearly every website, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical data for each visit (IP address, browser type, page requested, time). We use these logs only for security and to count page visits. They are not shared or sold.

Cookies

We do not set our own cookies. If you click a link to a retailer (such as Amazon), that retailer may set cookies under its own privacy policy — see the next section.

Affiliate links

Our product pages contain affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate, we earn from qualifying purchases. When you click one of these links, the retailer (e.g. Amazon) may record that you arrived from our site and may use cookies to attribute a purchase. What retailers collect is governed by their own privacy policies — for Amazon, see the Amazon Privacy Notice. Prices you pay are never affected by using our links.

Third-party services

Pages on this site may be shared by us to social platforms (such as Pinterest or TikTok). Visiting those platforms is subject to their own privacy policies. We do not embed social trackers on our pages.

YouTube / Google

To publish short review videos, the site owner uses an in-house tool that connects to a single YouTube channel — the owner's own — through YouTube API Services and uploads videos to it, using Google OAuth with only the “upload videos” permission. Use of YouTube API Services is subject to the YouTube Terms of Service, and Google's handling of any data is described in the Google Privacy Policy.

The tool stores only an encrypted Google authorization token so it can upload on the owner's behalf. It does not read, collect, or store any visitor's or viewer's YouTube data. The owner can revoke this access at any time via Google Account → Third-party access, and any stored token is deleted on disconnect.

Children

This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect any information from them (we collect essentially none from anyone).

Your rights

Because we hold no personal data about you beyond short-lived technical server logs, there is normally nothing for us to delete or export. If you have any privacy question or request, contact us and we will help.

Changes

If we change this policy, we will update this page and its effective date.
